I have worked for almost over three decades in Unilever [Industrial Detergents/Chemicals] and DHL companies and before that in FMCG [Whitbread]. Most recently I was CFO for DHL Express for Sub-Saharan Africa based in Cape Town, South Africa. I have lived in 7 countries [UK, Europe, US and South Africa] whilst gaining this experience.

I am a chartered accountant with over 30 years’ experience in financial roles of which more than 18 years are within C-suite positions. I am passionate about detail and believe that numbers tell the whole story. I believe that forecasts and cash flow management are most important in a business.

I have over 23 years of experience spanning across various industries both internationally and within South Africa. Upon returning to South Africa, I’ve immersed myself in the entrepreneurial and SME landscape. Here, I’ve played key roles in building companies, leveraging my financial expertise by focusing on driving growth and sustainable value creation whilst forging strong relationships with colleagues and clients. My passion lies in nurturing success in every venture I undertake.

I’m an experienced Commercial Director and Management Consultant who works with entrepreneurs to develop their business and solve complex enterprise wide business problems. Before running my own financial acumen training business, I was an Associate Director in Management Consulting at PwC. There I dealt with projects relating to Operations, Human Resources and Finance.

I am a Chartered Accountant with 20 years executive experience in the healthcare and hotel, gaming and leisure sector and 11 years experience as an entrepreneur and international investor.  Strategic planning and execution are my core strengths, using my financial expertise I optimize business performance.

I am a business-minded professional with a wealth of international senior management experience in Finance, IT, Sales & Marketing and General Management roles. I enjoy diversity while being an ‘out of the box’ thinker with a passion for helping entrepreneurs reach their objectives and grow their businesses.
