I am an experienced FD working principally in the Private Sector specialising in the built environment, but more recently moving into the 3rd sector as group FD for a Housing Association and currently working for a small web-based retail business. Before taking the role of group FD with the Housing Association, I went completely out of my comfort zone, as Operations Director for an Asset Management joint venture.

  • Part of a team that completed due diligence on a £600m Plc Acquisition and the integration into the business. Sold plant hire business to generate cash. Bought a recycling business and integrated it into the group.
  • Operational Director of a team to provide Asset Management services to a Housing Association, which included 160 staff obtaining Investors In People (IIP).
  • Secured a loan for the Housing Association of £50m fixed rate 2.445% for 30 years. Secured loans for a small Web Based Retail business for growth.
  • Delivered overhead savings over 18 months of £6m (11%) during a recession.
