I am passionate about providing business owners and management with financial expertise, strategic and operational planning, risk management and actionable data-driven information and insights, to help improve financial health, increase operational efficiency, drive profitable growth and make better decisions that build real value.

Before joining the CFO Centre, I previously worked with over thirty businesses across the UK, Europe and the US, and I am thrilled to have helped several set up from scratch, finance/refinance and over half a dozen to ultimately realise value through an exit/sale.

My approach is down-to-earth, forward-thinking and engaging, ensuring that financial matters are easily understandable and relatable, particularly for those without a finance background.

Track Record Highlights

  • Strategic plan development and deployment for over a dozen businesses, operational planning for over thirty businesses.
  • Significant performance, profit and cash improvements (e.g. EBIT+21% in 2 years, Operating Cash Flow 1.6x EBIT, IBM ‘world-class’ achievement , 30% cost improvement), collaborating closely with operations, sales and commercial.
  • ERP and finance systems implementations to increase efficiency and improve information, controls and performance.
  • Financing/refinancing for over half a dozen businesses; securing £11m minority private equity investment for a high growth SME (preparing the three-year strategic plan, first-year budget, 100-day plan and supporting the business through due diligence, data room, buyer questions and legals).
  • Successful business sales/exits to trade (each over 10x forecast EBITDA), having implemented improved reporting, controls, forecasting and bidding; developing three-year strategic plans (including market analysis), ‘Teasers’, ‘Information Memorandums’ and ‘Management Presentations’ (with advisors) and creating/presenting ‘books’ to buyers (cutting revenues/costs/EBITDA numerous ways), handling due diligence, buyer questions and data room/legals.
