  • Successfully started up two companies. The first was a global trader of PC components. We established offices in London, Vancouver, Hong Kong, and Barbados and achieved sales in excess of $150 million. The second startup was in the logistics industry, located in Vancouver. We grew that business to approximately 45 employees and $35 million in sales.
  • Raised financing through banks, Business Development Bank, and angel investors for business expansion and capital expenditure.
  • Developed and been the project manager on an in-house proprietary ERP system, outsourcing the coding to a team in India.
  • Worked for a large US multinational in internal audit primarily located in Europe. Some key accomplishments were: 1) identifying software coding errors at a facility in Australia that had been using the software for 25 years; 2) providing guidance on correctly setting up a standard costing model in a manufacturing plant in France; and 3) adjusting financial reporting discrepancies in Germany.
  • Provided consulting services to family-run businesses in financial distress.
  • Past finance chair and current board chair of the Yellowstone to Yukon Conservation Initiative. During time with "Y2Y,” the board has doubled in size, and the staff has grown from 8 employees to over 40.
